This session focuses on exploring the versatility of the waterjet, identifying applications it is ideally suited for, and how these capabilities compare to other machine tool processes such as laser, plasma, EDM, and others. There will be great emphasis highlighting real-world examples of highly unique parts and materials cut using waterjet in areas one might find surprising. This session is ideally suited for existing waterjet users or those interested in waterjet who might be seeking unique ways to leverage system capabilities into more advanced and unique areas of opportunity.

Sean Schramm, Vice President of Engineering at Shape Technologies Group, has 27 years of experience in the waterjet industry. Schramm began his career at Flow Waterjet as a research and development engineer, and is now responsible for leading Flow’s parent company, Shape’s Engineering team, using his extensive knowledge across various industries, markets, and applications to help develop the next generation of waterjet technology.
