F188: Executing to Win – Setting the Team Up for Success

Once the strategic plan is built and communicated to the organization as a whole, there are two choices: 1) put it on the shelf and revisit it again in a year, or 2) manage the plan, to ensure flawless execution. It goes without saying that the first option isn’t really an option, but the reality is that this is the approach that some companies take. When this occurs, busyness will occur, but nothing strategic will get done and ultimately, the organization will fall behind its competition, putting its very existence at risk.
